Zambia Wildlife Safari

Bush Walk, Game Drive, Canoe, and Raft Safari in Untamed Zambia

Experience Africa by foot and canoe, just like the first explorers, on this safari adventure to undiscovered Zambia. Off the tourist track and home to giant wilderness parks, Zambia is where the Africa of Stanley and Livingstone still survives. In the company of expert guides, we explore the African bush on foot for breathtaking wildlife encounters, canoe the mighty Zambezi River, tour awesome Victoria Falls and thrill to the greatest one-day whitewater raft trip in the world!

Days 1-3 Lusaka-South Luangwa National Park-Tafika Camp. One of the wildest and most pristine game sanctuaries in the world, South Luangwa supports a density of animal and bird life unsurpassed in Africa--15,000 elephants, 25,000 buffalo, 20,000 hippos, thousands of crocodiles, antelopes, giraffes, zebras, the full array of big cats and 400 species of birds. Bush walks and game drives will provide ample opportunity for an introduction to this spectacular parade of wildlife.

Days 4-6 South Luangwa National Park-Chikoko Bush Camps. Off to the northern part of Luangwa, add wildebeests, impalas and baboons to your spotting list for our bush walks. Little has changed here since David Lingstone crossed the area in the 19th century.

Days 7-9 Zambezi River-Tented Camps. We canoe 36 miles over three days down the Lower Zambezi from Chirundu to Chongwe. Slip past pods of grunting hippos, basking crocodiles, bathing elephants, and grazing buffalo en route to our secluded island campsites.

Days 10-13 Mosi-O-Tunya National Park-Victoria Falls. Our final destination is Mosi-O-Tunya and the mile-wide, 300-foot high Victoria Falls. We enjoy a leisurely sunset river cruise and one of the greatest day raft trips to be had anywhere in the world as we steer through the Zambezi's Batoka Rapids. Our exciting safari concludes in Livingstone for flights home.
