Adventure Programs
ages 13-18

Whether it's merely being introduced to outdoor adventure or traveling to the remote regions of the world, Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing offers three distinct programs that allow participants to accomplish their personal goals. Within each course, participants progress from beginner to more advanced levels of experience through increased instruction and teamwork. We have also designed our programs to progress in a similar manner beginning with our Classic Adventures. As participants gain more experience, knowledge, and a greater understanding of outdoor concepts, they may advance to one of our Specialty Trips in order to practice and perfect their skills in select adventure activities. Finally, participants can travel the world with Earth Explorations (e²) practicing and learning new skills while gaining an understanding and appreciation for various cultures and environments.

 Classic Adventures

Girl ClimbingThis is where it all began . . . the courses that have given Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing its name. Our one-week courses introduce participants to a variety of outdoor activities, while two and three-week courses allow participants to build up to more advanced levels. At the beginning of each course participants are issued backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, cook sets, food, and other supplies needed for an exciting outdoor experience. Regardless of age or trip length, groups will backpack to a different campsite each day, and will spend their nights sitting around a campfire and camping beneath the stars. No previous experience is required as our leaders and instructors begin activities at an introductory level and slowly advance by teaching and promoting responsibility, stewardship, respect, and teamwork.

 Specialized Trips

RaftingAs our program has grown over time and participants have returned year after year seeking new experiences and friendships, we found the need to offer courses that provide more time and instruction in select activities. The difference between our Specialized Trips and our Classic Adventures lies in the number of outdoor activities on which the course focuses. Participants sharpen skills in the activities they enjoy most through specialized instruction and ample practice. Whether your interest is kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, or outdoor leadership, we have designed programs that will take you to new levels of outdoor adventure. As in all of our courses, each trip begins at an introductory level and slowly builds towards advanced instruction and increased participant responsibility.

 Earth Explorations e²

Alaska Sea KayakOur leaders at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing come from around the world and many carry with them a lifetime of experience in adventure and outdoor leadership. Thanks to our adventurous staff and our commitment to offer you the best in adventure programming, we have designed Earth Explorations (e²) so you can travel the world with us. e² focuses on individual growth in a global format; participants will discover new cultures, new landscapes, and a newfound worldview. Each destination offers experiences that complement the surrounding environment: SCUBA dive Puerto Rico, ice-climb Alaska's glaciers, or explore the cultures of South East Asia. Backpacking and camping experience is recommended, yet e² is sure to offer completely new experiences - for both novices and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
