Pathways and Tracks are one and two week programs that provide
an excellent opportunity to expose your young adventurer to the beauty of the
outdoors. It's a fun-filled, structured camping experience that combines short
hikes with adventure activities. At the beginning of each program participants
are issued small daypacks, sleeping bags, tents, and all of the supplies needed
for an exciting outdoor experience. Each program is intended to offer
introductory experiences to a variety of age-appropriate outdoor activities.
Each day will take them to new heights as they explore the outdoors. One-week
programs will have a permanent campsite that will be their base of operations.
Two-week Tracks programs will spend their first week camping at a permanent
campsite while improving their skills; the second week will be spent moving
from campsite to campsite throughout the National Forest. Whether it's a one or
two-week outdoor experience, each group will spend their nights sitting around
a campfire and camping in two to three-person tents. No previous experience is
required as our leaders and instructors begin at an introductory level and
slowly advance by teaching and promoting responsibility, stewardship, respect,
and teamwork.
