Wenonah has dozens of
models to choose from. Solo and Tandem models available in Tuff-weave,
Kevlar, Graphite and Royalex layups. Beautiful wood trimmed models or if you
prefer, the economy of the aluminum or vinyl gunnels. Choose from traditional cane or web seats
or the more comfortable curved web and tractor-style bucket seats are available as options.
In the twenty plus years we've been a Wenonah
dealer they've developed such a reputation that to most people, "Kevlar" is
synonymous with "Wenonah". Sure there are a few other brands making Kevlar canoes but we
feel you'll be missing out if you don't at least consider a Wenonah Kevlar.
Wenonah makes more Kevlar canoes than all other brands combined. They
have long ago abandoned building methods that others are just now experimenting
with today. Before Wenonah started making Royalex canoes it was thought that
Royalex was just not compatible with light weight -- efficient designs. Now
you can get a really tough canoe that also paddles well. If our stores were
in a mall somewhere we would probably sell a lot less Wenonahs. People would
make their purchasing decision based on looks or on how slick the catalog was.
But the fact is, most of our customers test paddle before deciding. Each
year it seems we are more impressed with their commitment to quality and
their ability to design and build canoes without compromise.

Touring:

Our most-versatile canoe has outstanding stability, superb agility and plenty of
seaworthiness.
"Balanced" is the best word to describe the Spirit II. It travels distances easily yet turns
extremely well. It's capable on rapids, and open water, too. It's big enough for trips. It's
also very stable.
At 17' long, it strikes a good balance between the efficiency of a longer hull and the
maneuvering of a shorter one.
The Spirit II is safe and roomy, too, having capacity for medium-heavy trips. With two large
people it draws just 4", leaving lots of reserve buoyancy for gear. Loaded it becomes more
stable yet still handles well, even on waves.

Boundary Waters

This new touring canoe offers a unique blend of excellent stability and easy paddling.
Extra fullness throughout the middle gives this canoe extra capacity. The bow and
stern height are kept low to catch less wind. Curved webbed seats keep you in the center,
yet offer flexible seating.
Use it by yourself, with the family or to take it through rough water with confidence.
Fisherman, sportsman and families alike will appreciate its extra stability and
suprising capacity for a 17 foot canoe. With this great capacity, this canoe will be well
suited for an afternoon paddle, or a two week trip.
With exceptional stability and capacity, plus easy paddling the Boundary Waters is a highly
versatile canoe.

A tandem touring canoe that has superb performance for its size.
The Adirondack was designed for the smaller rivers and lakes like those of the Northeast.
Meant for day outings and trips of a night or two, it has medium volume, and paddles very
efficiently with a light-to-moderate load.
Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested it and said, "This is one smooth-paddling canoe, and it has
excellent final stability. It's a bit less initially stable, but that's what gains the
efficient paddling and glide."
If your looking for a straight tracking 16' canoe that's easy to paddle and easy to handle
out of the water, the Adirondack fits the bill.

Recreation:

A small, stable, maneuverable canoe for fishing, hunting and low-key paddling.
Designed for families and sportsmen, the Fisherman is a stable platform for outdoor
enjoyment. Short and wide, the Fisherman delivers easy turning and lots of initial
stability. Its relatively flat bottom is very steady on fair waters, and its broad
beam draws just inches. The Fisherman's easy control and shallow draught give access
to areas that would be difficult for other craft, even many other canoes.
Being that it is a stable, small hull, the Fisherman is an ideal choice for use at
camps or at a lake cabin where kids will often use it. Since youngsters are light,
they find it to be a fine paddling canoe that is also safe on waves due to its depth.
Adults, however, like the Fisherman for wildlife viewing, star-gazing, or other uses
that do not include big waves, heavy loads, or long travel. It's often used by one
or two people for hunting or fishing.

A compact canoe with classic lines, great for exploring quiet waters.
Based on the popular Spirit II, the Heron is a compact utility canoe that
is excellent for casual activities on varied, local waters. This type of
canoe is often preferred by people who aren't paddling enthusiasts, but
who use a canoe occasionally for a variety of purposes. When we designed
the Heron we wanted to prove that a well thought out recreation design
can be pleasant to paddle as well as functional.
The Heron's blend of stability, efficiency, and capacity makes it truly
useful in a broad range of situations. Stable enough for less experienced
paddlers to use comfortably, the Heron's performance makes traveling longer
distances practical, including one or two day trips. The Heron tracks better
and is more efficient than our Fisherman. Yet at 15' it is still short enough
for tight, twisting streams and occasional, intricate rapids.
The Heron is also quite practical for the occassional solo paddler.

A great sporting canoe with excellent stability and good performance.
An extremely stable, mid-sized recreational design, the Kingfisher is an
excellent canoe for hunting and fishing, birdwatching, wildlife and nature
photography, or simply exploring your local backwaters.
While rock-solid stability is a major appeal of this recreational design,
the Kingfisher has surprisingly good performance as well. Similar in concept
to our Fisherman, the Kingfisher is an inch wider and a full two feet longer.
Not only is it more comfortable for larger paddlers, the Kingfisher's extra
length also gives it better efficiency, and improved capacity. And while it
is not as maneuverable as the Fisherman, the Kingfisher's 16 foot length is
still easy for most paddlers to manage.
The Kingfisher's outstanding combination of stability and efficiency make
this an extraordinary canoe for both new paddlers and seasoned outdoor
adventurers who desire a super-stable sporting canoe.

BACKWATER

A square stern canoe with excellent stability.
New for 2010, the Backwater square stern canoe is for sportsmen with motorized
intentions. The rigid aluminum and wood mounting bracket makes for quick and
easy addition of a small motor.
Sized for two people and a load of gear, it works great for duck hunting shallow
backwater marshes or float fishing rocky rivers.
Super stable, the Backwater is a blast when coupled with the right sized motor.
We recommend a small outboard in the 2-3hp range, or a trolling motor in 50-55#
thrust range to unlock this boats true potential. To off set the weight of the
motor, place the battery or gas tank as far forward as possible.

Performance:

A short, responsive, yet fast tandem that's solo friendly.
Webster's dictionary defines the word "escapade" as "an adventurous
action that runs counter to conventional conduct" and our tandem canoe,
the Escapade, is indeed unconventional.
The Escapade has the sleek lines of a performance canoe but with the
depth and width of a touring canoe.
We've also given this design 4" of center tumblehome making it well
suited for solo paddling by adding a center seat. Configured this way
the Escapade is similar to our Solo Plus, but the focus of the two differs.
An Escapade with three seats is better for tandem paddling but works
adequately as a solo, while the Solo Plus is better if you're mainly a solo
paddler who wishes to go tandem occasionally.
At 16' 6" this is the shortest of our performance canoes, so the Escapade
doesn't have as much capacity for trips as the Escape or Minnesota II. But
people of smaller stature or minimalists who like to pack and travel light
will have plenty of room for gear. Larger paddlers who wish to haul heavy
loads should consider our longer hulls. But the Escapade is perfect if you
want a small and easy to maneuver, yet fast canoe.

The 17' Jensen is the perfect canoe for recreational racers who want
to enter events which limit boat length to 17', or who are looking a
shorter, more maneuverable canoe. The 17' Jensen is the perfect canoe
for a fast training run, or for paddling smaller rivers and lakes
with your family as a day outing. Whether you are entering a local
canoe event, or paddling through the marsh at dawn, the 17' Jensen is

A foot longer than the 17' Jensen, the 18' Jensen dominated the UCSA
Marathon canoe championships for many years. It tracks straighter and
is slightly more efficient than the 17' Jensen and has a better glide
ratio, making the 18' Jensen faster in straight ahead events and
paddling.
The 18' Jensen can also handle longer trips by people who are small
or pack light. Its length provides surprising volume and buoyancy for
a slim, low canoe.
When Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested this hull, they said, "Few canoes
match the smooth paddling performance of this one. The shallow-arch
hull blends efficiency with enough stability to reassure newer
paddlers. It's both stable and quick. I'd rate the 18' Jensen as one
of the finest canoes I've ever paddled."

A shorter, deeper version of the Minnesota II.
For many paddlers our Escape may be the perfect tandem. We based the design of the Escape
on our popular Minnesota II, one of the world's most renowned wilderness canoe designs.
The Escape is an extremely efficient design in a more compact package than the Minnesota II.
With similar lines as the Minnesota II, the Escape delivers excellent performance in a wide
variety of paddling conditions. To keep the canoe dry in choppy waters, we added extra depth
to the bow and stern. Combined with the flared bow, this canoe is dry in almost every
paddling situation.
A foot shorter than the Minnesota II, the Escape is more maneuverable, making it an ideal
canoe if you plan to paddle on smaller streams and rivers as well as larger lakes and bodies
of water. Yet with its added depth, the Escape has nearly the capacity of the Minnesota II.
With this much versatility, the Escape is perfect for most paddlers who want a performance
canoe. Smaller paddlers, people who prefer a shorter canoe, and those who spend time on smaller
rivers and streams will find the Escape fits their needs perfectly.

The most efficient, stable tandem tripping canoe ever.
If you travel in Minnesota's BWCA, or Canada's Quetico Park, you'll see lots of
these Jensen-designed canoes. You'll hear rave reviews, too, because the Minnesota
II is widely acclaimed by the dedicated paddlers, professional guides, and park
rangers of the lake country as the ideal canoe for long trips.
Since we make it to use where week-long outings are typical, we gave this design
high capacity and seaworthiness to hold two people with heavy gear and still cope
well with lake waves.
Best of all -- and the reason the Minnesota II is so popular -- is that it has
unmatched performance when loaded. It travels great distances, at high speeds, with
less effort than any other tandem performance canoe. We take the Minnesota II on our
family trips since nothing else has its combined efficiency, capacity, and lightness.
Canoe & Kayak Magazine noted, "Apart from superb final stability, the best feature is
how it returns to course in waves."
This hull is also ideal for trips on lakes and mild rivers wherever you find them.
The
premier canoe for long trips with lots of in lake regions.

Expedition:

A versatile design with enhanced efficiency and seaworthiness.
A larger, more stable version of our versatile Spirit II, the Champlain has the
efficiency and capacity to haul heavy loads long distances, but is also pleasant
to paddle lightly loaded.
The Champlain is one of our largest tandems. It also has fullness for much of its
length, giving it even greater volume than its dimensions suggest. It gets
excellent stability from its size, and from its shallow-arched hull, a design that
is less sensitive to waves and easier for paddlers to handle. As its name implies,
the Champlain is a confident craft to face big swells on vast waters.
More than safety alone, it delivers performance that makes crossing big lakes
practical. Its length and profile give good speed and glide, which it retains very
well with a load. Its slightly rockered keel-line also lets it turn quite easily for
its size.
Good uses for this design? We recommend it highly if two or more of the following
conditions apply: big people, big loads, or big waters. This canoe hauls two large
people, a week's worth of equipment, plus an arsenal of fishing gear, and it still
has reserve buoyancy for waves.

Solo
Canoes Touring:

An all-purpose solo with a good blend of stability, efficiency and capacity.
The Prism has fine performance and capacity with enough stability for anyone to handle.
Our best-selling solo, we recommend it to paddlers of all skill levels and for most
types of canoeing.
At 16'6" long with a straight keel line and a very good surface-to-volume ratio, this
is a performance-oriented hull. It has sleek lines and fine ends for superb glide and
speed. Ideal for cruising with a light load, it's also fairly deep and wide with full
sides to give lots of volume. The bow and stern are slightly flared to deflect waves
and bow depth carries rearward for even more dryness.
Among our solos, the Prism's capacity and seaworthiness is comparable to the Voyager's.
And while it's not as efficient, it's steadiness makes it more comfortable for fishing
and sightseeing.
When Canoe & Kayak Magazine tested it against five other touring solos they said, "The
Prism is all about glide and speed. It's a lean boat that tracks the best of those
reviewed, yet will turn quickly enough, and returns to a stable position more readily
than other fast canoes."
The Prism holds center-stage among our solos. It's not a day tripper like the Vagabond,
or a cruise missile like the Voyager, or a fast freighter like the Encounter. It's not
any one of those, because it's all of them in fair measure, and is our most-versatile
solo.

WILDERNESS
15' 4"

The Wilderness is a solo canoe that defines a new standard for mid-length extended solo tripping canoes.
We designed the Wilderness to carry plenty of gear and encourage distant exploration far beyond the
reaches of smaller, less efficient crafts. The Wilderness carries additional freeboard and bow height
for a dryer ride in rough waters common to larger, wind exposed lakes. We married the dryness of
additional freeboard with the correct amount of tumblehome for efficient paddling technique.
Designed as a tripper, the Wilderness is a dream on portages allowing for more time on the water and
additional distance each day. A well-rounded stability profile and moderate rocker inspire confidence
and maneuverability, whether on a loaded tour or evening paddle. The Wenonah Wilderness is available
in Royalex and our proven light weight composite constructions at a price for all budgets.

New for 2009, the Fusion is a uniquely designed solo canoe blending the best features of
both a canoe and kayak for recreation and fishing.
Extra stable, it can be paddled with a double or single blade paddle and its foot
controlled rudder makes maneuvering a synch. The padded high back seat comes standard
and allows for hours of comfort.
Lighter, quicker, and more manuverable than any fishing kayaks, the Fusion also runs
drier and holds more gear while keeping it all readily accessible. Designed for personal

A small, maneuverable canoe for sight-seeing, fishing, or exploring on moderate waters.
The Vagabond is only moderately wide but is full from bow to stern, giving good stability
and volume for its size. Though only big enough for short trips, it holds plenty of gear
for fishing and casual use.
The Vagabond is manageable and enjoyable for new paddlers, and its small size makes this
canoe very easy to car-top and carry, and convenient to store.
The Vagabond also responds well when used with a kayak paddle for improved performance on
calm water or better control in inclement weather. The Vagabond is lighter than any kayak
of comparable length and when paddled this way, also easily outperforms a kayak of similar
size.

River Touring:

A small, agile solo, the Argosy feels right at home in rivers and streams.
Moderate bow rocker allows this nimble solo to cross eddylines with confidence, while
extra volume in the sides allows the Argosy to be leaned predictably, further enhancing
its performance in rough water.
Although it is the same length as our recreational solo the Vagabond, this canoe features
more rocker (especially near the bow), more depth amidships, more bow flare and deeper
ends to help keep the canoe dry in moderate whitewater. With slightly more rocker than
many of our models, the Argosy excels in paddling through moving water, yet still glides
through calm water effortlessly.

Performance:

Made to track straight and travel fast with a load.
Designed for a solo paddler with big plans, the Voyager is at home on large lakes
and rivers. If your looking for a Solo that'll take on the Great Salt Lake, Lake
Powell, the big reservoirs of Tennessee, or any waters like them, this is your canoe.
This hull is the solo version of the legendary Minnesota II - incredibly efficient,
straight-tracking and capable of carrying two-weeks gear. Loaded or empty, it's the
benchmark boat of its class.
The Voyager is our longest, narrowest solo. Significant tumblehome also promotes strong,
comfortable strokes. These aspects and its shallow-arch hull give it better performance
than shorter or wider hulls, especially when loaded.
This hull is also rewarding to paddle light for lake touring, aerobic conditioning, etc.,
but we suggest you buy it mainly for long escapes, where the Voyager's supreme
capabilities will add the most to your satisfaction.

Recreational Racing and fast cruisng and light tripping.

When Dave Kruger designed the Advantage he knew he had a fast, capable
canoe. And true to form, the Advantage quickly became an all time
favorite of marathon and recreational paddlers alike.
Fast, efficient and responsive, the Advantage has few competitors in
the paddling world. The Advantage can keep up in all but the most
blazing training runs. It is responsive, easy to paddle and friendly
for paddlers of all abilities.
After its introduction, the Advantage proved so versatile that most
were used for pleasure. Hence, he refined it to add buoyancy making
the Advantage also a great boat for cruising and light tripping. With
a daypack or slightly larger load, the Advantage is fast and stable,
the perfect solo canoe for racing, fitness, or fast efficient cruising.

Specialty
Designs* We-no-nah models that are designed to serve unique canoeing
needs.
Dual usage:

Designed to use as both a solo and a light-duty tandem hull
The Solo Plus is a 16'6" hull with three seats... not so three can ride but to use
as both a solo or a tandem canoe!
You can add a seat to some tandems for solo use, but most are too wide to reach the
water well from the center. Conversely, most solos are too narrow to fit paddlers in
the ends. We shaped one hull to suit solo or tandem use, and the Solo Plus is unique
since it works well both ways. It's wider in the ends than most solos, yet narrower
in the center than most tandems.
Used solo, it's a stable, efficient touring hull with high capacity. Tandem, it's a
short, performance design. It's fast but less stable than our other tandems, and hauls
light gear only.
Some other models can also serve for solo / tandem use. The Escapade, for example, is
designed to work well with an added center seat, but its focus is different: The 3-seat
Escapade is better for tandem paddling but works adequately as a solo, while the Solo
Plus is better for the solo paddler who wishes to go tandem sometimes.
Built in composites, this is a light-weight, high-performance, dual-purpose hull. Made
from Royalex, however, the Solo Plus is more economical, and it can take truly substantial
abuse.
In composite or Royalex, the Solo Plus is an exceptional value because it gives you, in
essence, two canoes for the price of one.
