LUNA Chix of NASTC 2007-08 Season Recap

This was the first year of the LUNA Chix of NASTC program and we are thrilled at its success. The program has two tiers, the first tier
consists of three-day courses that allow women to develop a close working relationship with their trainer to develop new skills and try new
terrain in a relaxed and pressure-free environment. These courses are designed to improve technique and self confidence under the guidance
and watchful eyes of the LUNA Chix team members. The second tier involves our “Ski with the LUNA Chix of NASTC” days; this program has a
philanthropic heart. We realize that the sport of skiing can be intimidating for a lot of women; and therefore wanted to offer them an opportunity
where they can ski in a relaxed all-female environment. The “Ski with the LUNA Chix” days are free half days clinics, where women can have
a fun day out on the slopes, meet other like-minded women and get a few tips on their skiing. The LUNA Chix program is dedicated to raising awareness and support for the Breast Cancer Fund, which directs its financial assistance towards the research of the environmental causes of breast cancer. As part of the greater LUNA Chix program we accept donations towards the Breast Cancer Fund at any of our LUNA Chix of
NASTC events.

This was a great first season with some pretty strong turnout at the events. We would like to say thank you to the LUNA Chix of NASTC team
members for contributing their time and expertise; it is thanks to them that this program has been such a great success. Thank you to all you
ladies who came out and made each day so special! We hope you came away from these events a little more confident in yourselves and
inspired to get out outside and play more. Many of the team members witnessed saw some goals accomplished and breakthroughs among their groups – Great job ladies!!

We can’t wait to do it all over again next season and look forward to the continued growth and development of the LUNA Chix of NASTC. See you on the snow in the 2008-09 season!
