All Conditions/All Terrain (AC/AT): What makes a great skier is versatility, having the ability to adapt to changing conditions and different types of terrain. This course allows skiers to develop the skills that will help them push past their individual plateaus and begin to explore more of the mountains and ski different types of terrain and conditions with better precision. In this type of course you will spend some time on groomed terrain working on developing new skills or refining them and learning how to blend them in different ways, then we will take these movements and apply them in the off-piste where the real fun begins! So pick your mountain and join us for an adventure you will never forget. All include lift tickets and instruction, some dinners, and are for levels 6-9. There are also hotel options we have arranged for you as an option too (not included).

SQUAW VALLEY, CALIFORNIA - Early Season Jumpstart

NASTC Kids Programs: for skiers ages 7-12
We are so excited for another year of our very popular and successful adult camps to kids! Our specially designed program will emphasize safety, fun, confidence, technique, mountain savvy and life long learning in our beautiful surroundings. Skiing is a sport that helps a child’s focus, self-esteem, self-reliance, coordination, and decision-making abilities. It provides very tangible, in-the-moment goals, and in that way, allows a great feeling of accomplishment. It is an individual sport that gives children solo time to process alone, but it can also be a “team sport,” where kids rely on each other for safety and success. Skiing helps young people become very coach able and teachable –a skill that is important in school, jobs and all of life.

NASTC Kids - -
This is a chance for your child to "check-in", tune it up, and get a taste of what skiing has to offer during this series of one-day ski courses led by NASTC’s top trainers. It’s a great way to get some focused instruction with our top children’s teachers. The days will be filled with fun games and drills that include a lot of mileage, personal feedback and one-on-one coaching. The afternoon will be spent on more skill development but with the added focus on terrain thrills. This means we will keep it interesting, fun and educational by applying our technique to whatever the mountain holds. Throughout the season we will visit steeps, bumps, powder, crud, trees and natural half-pipes plus the park & pipe and racecourse. We will finish a hug or a high-five, and a goal for the next time that we meet. They will complete the series with a certificate of accomplishment,

THE LOST TRAIL LODGE: Backcountry Hut Adventure
 On Day 1, you will practice using avalanche beacons, specialized skins and touring adapters before heading off the backside of Mt. Lincoln on the Pacific Crest Trail towards Anderson Peak. From there you will descend through steeps or gentle glades (depending on your ability) and through the lush glades on the east slope. In the heart of Cold Stream Canyon you will find luxury at its finest in The Lost Trail Lodge with its gourmet kitchen, private rooms, parlor stoves, private whirlpool baths, and dramatic architecture. After a good sleep, we will ski right out our doors and enjoy some pristine snow before heading 4.5 miles back to Truckee via the Lodge's snow cat.
