Directions

From Sacramento

California whitewater rafting on the American River Head east (toward South Lake Tahoe) on Highway 50 for about 30 miles or until you see Food 4 Less on the right. Continue 1 more mile on Highway 50 and exit at the Shingle Springs/Ponderosa Road off ramp. At the top of the ramp turn left, go over Highway 50 and take the first right turn (past the freeway on ramp!) and you will be on North Shingle Road. Proceed for 4-1/2 miles to a "Y" in the road. Stay to the left on what is now Lotus Road until it meets Highway 49. Turn left, cross the bridge over the South Fork of the American River and continue North on Hwy 49 2.5 miles to Mother Lode River Center on your left and the new home of CBOC Whitewater.

From Points North, South, and West of Sacramento

Head for Sacramento, then follow the directions from Sacramento.

From Placerville

Head north on Highway 49 about 7 miles to Coloma. After you cross the bridge over the South Fork of the American River and continue North on Hwy 49 2.5 miles to Mother Lode River Center on your left and the new home of CBOC Whitewater.

From Lake Tahoe and Points East

Head west on Highway 50 to Placerville, then follow the directions from Placerville. Or, head west on I-80 to Auburn, and follow the I-80 directions below.

From Reno/Sacramento on I-180

Travel to Auburn, CA. Exit Highway 49 south. Drive to the town of Cool, then continue south on 49 another 8.6 miles to Mother Lode River Center on your right and the new home of CBOC Whitewater.

At Mother Lode River Center

Enter the parking lot and stay left following the driveway to the lower parking area. There will usually be a Staff member to assist you. The speed limit is 5mph. No dust please.
